EVENT – Bees, bugs and beetles – Sat 31st Oct -Book on Humanitix

If you’re interested in bees, beneficial insects, pollination, pest management or what’s happening to our insect populations, this one is definitely worth a look.  

We’re partnering with Local Land Services to bring you a full-day seminar (9-3pm) exploring the fascinating world of insects — from their role in pollination and healthy ecosystems to insect behaviour, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the surprising ways these tiny creatures shape the world around us.

There’s a great line-up of speakers:

  • Professor Saul Cunningham – Director, Fenner School of Environment & Society, ANU
  • Clancy Lester – the “Bee Man” from Bees and Blossoms Education
  • Melissa McKendrick – honey bee keeper, native bee enthusiast and keen gardener
  • Chantel Benbow – Plant Biosecurity Coordinator, South East Local Land Services
  • Roger Farrow – author of Insects of SE Australia: An Ecological & Behavioural Guide
  • Dr Anthony Rice – Insect Ecologist and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Consultant
