The National Landcare conference was to be held in Sydney this year but is now going entirely on-line due to the COVID-19 situation. You can register and attend on-line for free here! There is a great, diverse line-up of speakers and it will be hosted by the inimitable Costa Georgiadis. With topics ranging from sustainable agriculture to the impacts of climate change – this is your opportunity to learn about the diversity of Landcare from some of Australia’s best voices.
Put it in your diary for Thurs 5th and Friday 6th August.
The next NSW Landcare Conference is to be held in sunny Tweed Heads on the 15-17 March 2022. Landcare NSW are currently calling for submissions of interest for presentations and workshops. If you know of a great case study to be showcased now is the time to submit your EOI here. The theme of the conference is ‘Rethink, Renew, Recharge’ with presenters and workshop hosts being sought to share their experiences of recovering from natural disasters, as well as their ideas for creating a more resilient and sustainable future. Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons will give the keynote address.
South East Landcare (SEL) have a bursary to financially support volunteers to travel to and attend the NSW Landcare conference next year. If you are interested please get in touch with me and I can help submit an EOI to apply for the bursary.
